Αυτό το κιτ φυτικών βαφών θα σας βοηθήσει να κάνετε τα πρώτα σας βήματα στον κόσμο των φυτικών βαφών και να μάθετε τα βασικά για τη δημιουργία χρώματος από ελληνικά φυτά. Το κιτ συνοδεύεται από ένα μεταξωτό μαντήλι το οποίο έχει ήδη υποστεί τη διαδικασία σταθεροποίησης (για να μην ξεβάψει) καθώς και τέσσερα ελληνικά φυτά. 

Τι συμπεριλαμβάνεται 

1 x 100% μεταξωτό μαντήλι (140εκ. x 25εκ.) από το Σουφλί, το οποίο έχει σταθεροποιηθεί με σίδηρο και φαίνεται ότι είναι βαμμένο πορτοκαλί (δεν είναι, απλά έχει υποστεί τη διαδικασία σταθεροποίησης) 

-Φλούδες κρεμμυδιών από λαϊκές αγορές της Αθήνας (θα βγάλουν πράσινο)

-Ρίζες από ριζάρι, από τον Έβρο (θα βγάλει αποχρώσεις σάπιου μήλου)

-“Καπέλο” βελανιδιού από τη Μάνη (θα βγάλει γκρι) 

-Χαμομήλι από τη Μάνη (θα βγάλει λαδί)

-Βαμβακερός σπάγκος

Hand-wash in cold water, using olive oil soap or any pH neutral soap only. Do not use stain remover or harsh chemicals. Dry flat and store out of direct sunlight to preserve the colour

The colour fades very little over time, so some shift in colour is to be expected and this is part of what makes naturally dyed pieces so special

This natural dye kit will help you take your first steps in dyeing and learn the basics of creating colour from plants. It is an easy introduction to botanical dyeing. The kit comes with an iron pre-mordanted silk scarf, and a collection of greek plants. 

With this kit, you will make your own bundle dyed silk scarf. Iron has been applied onto the silk scarf and this means the colours that you will create will be dark and toned down.

-Onion Skins from farmer’s markets in Athens, Greece (will make greens)

-Madder Roots from Evros, Greece (will make dusty rose pinks)

-Acorn Cupules from Mani, Greece (will make greys)

-Chamomile from Mani, Greece  (will make olive greens)

-Cotton string
